§ 1 General information


Personal data are individual details about your personal or factual circumstances, i.e. data which identify you or which can be used to determine your identity. This includes, for example, your correct name, address, telephone number or date of birth. Personal data also includes personal data, i.e. data without direct reference from which a person can be derived, such as the IP address.

Personal data includes such data that is generated in connection with the retrieval of and stored in so-called log files on the servers of DVV Media and the technical service providers.

On the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation and security of our services), we collect data on every access to the server on which the service is located (so-called server log files) in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1. lit. f GDPR.

These are the name of the accessed website, file, your IP number, date and time, browser type and the requesting provider.

For security reasons (e.g. to clarify misuse or fraud), log file information is stored for a maximum of seven days and then deleted. Data whose further storage is required for evidence purposes is excluded from deletion until the respective incident has been finally clarified.

When you visit the pages of DVV Media, personal data will also be processed automatically in anonymized form. This includes usage data such as the beginning and end of your visit, the pages you call up or the length of time you spend on the portal. This data is not used for any personal purpose.

DVV Media will only collect, process or use personal data in compliance with the relevant data protection regulations. This means that users' data will only be processed if permission has been granted by law. This means, in particular, if the data processing is necessary or legally required for the provision of our contractual services and online services, if the consent of the users has been obtained, or if it is necessary due to our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation and security of our services in the sense of Art. 6 Para. 1 letter f GDPR, in particular in the measurement of reach, the creation of profiles for advertising and marketing purposes, the collection of access data and the use of the services of third parties.

We take organizational and technical security measures in accordance with the state of the art to ensure that the regulations of the data protection laws are observed and thus to protect the data processed by us against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons.

§ 3 Passing on of data to third parties and third-party providers


Data will only be passed on to third parties within the framework of the legal requirements in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 GDPR.

If we use subcontractors to provide our services, we take appropriate legal precautions as well as appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the protection of personal data in accordance with the relevant legal regulations.

Insofar as content, tools or other means are used by other providers (hereinafter referred to as "third-party providers") within the scope of this data protection declaration and their named headquarters are located in a third country, it is to be assumed that a data transfer to the countries in which the third-party providers are located will take place. Third countries are countries in which the GDPR is not a directly applicable law, i.e. in principle countries outside the EU or the European Economic Area. § 5 Use of Cookies


Cookies are small amounts of data that are transferred from the Internet to your computer together with the data actually requested. This data is stored there and kept ready for later retrieval. DVV Media uses the following types of cookies for

    The Google Marketing Services allow us to display advertisements for and on our website in a more targeted manner in order to present users only with advertisements that potentially correspond to their interests. If, for example, a user is shown ads for products that he or she has been interested in on other websites, this is referred to as "remarketing". The IP address is not merged with user data within other Google offers. Google may also combine the above-mentioned information with information from other sources. If the user subsequently visits other websites, the ads tailored to his interests can be displayed.
    User data is processed pseudonymously within the framework of Google Marketing Services. This means, for example, that Google does not store and process the name or e-mail address of the user, but processes the relevant data cookie-related within pseudonymous user profiles. This means that, from Google's point of view, the ads are not managed and displayed for a specifically identified person, but for the cookie holder, regardless of who that cookie holder is. This does not apply if a user has expressly permitted Google to process the data without this pseudonymization. The data collected by Google Marketing Services about users is transmitted to Google and stored on Google servers in the USA.

DVV Media uses the GoToWebinar software from LogMeIn Ireland Limited (contract processor) to conduct webinars. Personal data is collected/stored during registration on the infrastructure of LogMeIn (Bloodstone Building Block C70 Sir John Rogerson's Quay Dublin 2, Ireland). This includes in particular the surname, first name, company, function, industry, address and email address. The legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b of the Basic Data Protection Regulation.

The processing of data by LogMeIn (as a processor) is based on Article 28 of the Basic Data Protection Regulation.
